Padiham Memorial Park

Padiham Memorial Park with Park Road is Padiham's only formal public park. Originally designed by Thomas Mawson it is set on 2 levels a formal landscaped park at one side of The River Calder and bowling greens, play area, floodlit ball courts, skate ramp, youth shelter, tennis courts and Padiham Leisure center on the otherside. A footbridge and former railway bridge link the 2 sections. The formal park includes a small amphitheater and performance space that hosts annual free and ticketed events.Memorial park is well known for performing arts events. The former lodge (Knighthill House) is now an Age Concern day care centre. The park has an active friends group.
